We know that taking the first step towards starting treatment takes great courage.
Once you contact us, we will return your call or email within 24 hours Monday-Friday.
Our intake coordinator will provide you with additional information about our program and answer any questions you may have. If our waitlist is open, we will provide you some options to schedule an initial phone intake.
Because DBT is a specialized treatment service that is in high demand and short supply, we sometimes have to close our waitlist. If our waitlist is closed, we will suggest other options for treatment to you.
During your initial phone intake, we will spend 15-20 minutes answering any questions you may have and learning about you and your treatment goals to determine if our program is the right fit for you.
If our program is the right fit, we will add you to our waitlist for the next available and suitable therapist. If we think another treatment is a better fit we will provide you with some options and recommendations.
Once we have a spot for you with an individual therapist we will contact you to schedule a first session.
During your initial sessions your therapist will get to know you, assess your treatments needs and you will have a chance to decide if your therapist is a good fit for your needs.
We can also provide a formal psychodiagnostic assessment if we think that this would be important or if you are interested in such an assessment.
If you and your therapist decide to move forward, they will work with you to start treatment and help you reach your goals.
